Meet the “chix”! Enjoy the laughter that each
story will bring you.
These are true stories about my sources of love and inspiration
– my niece and nephews Ashley, Tommy and Turner.

Ashley
The eldest of the babychix and quite the actress. She has learned
at a very young age the “art of flirting” to get
what she wants. From batting her eyes, to smiling with a slight
grin, this little one has her daddy just where she wants him.
Yes, in the palm of her tiny little hand. Just wait until she’s
16, driving and dating. Should be an interesting time for all
to say the least.
When Ashley was about 2 years old she discovered her belly button.
Like all kids the discovery of body parts is quite exciting.
For months Ashley would walk around with her finger in her belly
button and say “Belly, Belly, Button” and just repeat
it over and over again. It wasn’t just Belly Button, it
was he Belly, Belly Button.
Tommy, a.k.a. Tom-Tom
Tommy is Ashley’s younger brother. Tommy is a sweet little
boy who emulates everything his Daddy does. From the flip-flops,
sunglasses to putting gel in his hair, it’s all about
being cool like Dad.
One day Ashley was in her room playing and Tommy walked in to
see his sister. Ashley was in one of her infamous “moods”
and she told Tommy she didn’t want to play with him. Tommy’s
feelings were hurt and the tears started to flow. Angry with
his sister, Tommy decided that he was going to get even. He
quietly grabbed a pair of her favorite “pink” (of
course) shoes, went in to the bathroom and attempted to flush
them down the toilet. After several flushes, Mom walked in and
although she wanted to laugh she had to take matters seriously.
In the mean time, Ashley walked in and when she saw her shoes
in the toilet the tears began to flow. After Tommy fetched the
shoes out of the toilet and apologized to his sister they ended
up playing for the rest of the day.
Although Tommy did not prevail, he sure knows the way to hurt
a girl’s only real love. After all “Shoes are a
girls best friend.”
Turner
Smart, Smart, Smart and possesses an athletic talent that Jordan,
Bonds and Brady would be proud of. We are!
One day Turner’s Dad was in the kitchen making lunch.
They were talking about school and Turner innocently said, “
Dad, I’m the luckiest boy in the whole world.” His
Dad turner around and said “Why are you so lucky?”
Turner innocently replied, “Because you are making me
a quesadilla.”
Turner skipped the hot sauce…”the parents”
put a little dab on his tongue when he said a naughty word.
What ever happened to biting down in soap? I believe Dove was
my Mom’s soap of choice. Of course, I wouldn’t know
that, right?!
The funniest part of this story is that Turner claims he does
not like cheese. Yet he loves Quesadillas and Macaroni and Cheese.
Hmmmm ...
